Marlin is married with three grown children. He has been with Engelhart and now Engelhart GreenSmith for 25 years. He also in an instructor at Madison Area Technical College teaching small engine repair and tune up

His hobbies include rebuilding/restoring older Honda motorcycles and horseback riding.
